Create Your Own: Granola

Who doesn't love delicious granola? Granola has definitely been a go-to snack for me and my family whenever we are looking for a quick snack throughout the day. Granola is calorie-dense and rich in protein, fiber, and micronutrients. It can provide a source of iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, selenium, vitamins B and E depending on the ingredients used.

High Protein ingredients in granola may contain different kinds of nuts and seeds.

Coconut Granola

2 cups dried coconut flakes

1/2 cup almonds, chopped

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup raisins

1 tsp cinnamon

Add fresh blueberries and yogurt to this recipe to make it more filling as a snack!
